Cammaerts: "The most exciting subjective experience in simulation is being able to take ultra-high-performance vehicles out in a totally safe but nevertheless extremely exciting and extremely stimulating driving environment; but that's not really the biggest use of simulators.
... We think probably the biggest trend is in the ability to skip over model generations of mules. Virtual prototyping or digital product development is meaningless unless it actually achieves better products, faster products to market or cheaper products to market. The ideal thing would be for it to develop and for it to enable all three.
The most exciting part of it for me is seeing customers actually reduce their development cycles and increase the confidence in their first physical prototypes. ... Moving the digital boundary right up to physical sign-off is the goal."
