Procurement Specialist

Role Overview

As a Procurement Specialist, you'll drive operational efficiency in the procurement team. Your role includes meticulously placing purchase orders, tracking purchase orders and ensuring timely deliveries to minimise project disruptions. Reviewing supplier selections, and balancing cost-saving with quality. This role demands detail-oriented precision and good organizational skills.

What will you be doing?

  • Place purchase orders according to company processes and provide cover during team absences.
  • Track purchase orders to improve visibility and ensure timely deliveries minimising potential disruptions to projects.
  • Review supplier selection comparing cost saving vs quality.

What are we looking for?

  • Demonstratable experience in a procurement position.
  • Effective communication skills and critical thinking skills for the maintenance and enhancement of processes.
  • Experience with Excel, Sage and IFS systems.
  • Purchasing accreditation and/or purchasing in accordance with ISO 9001 is desirable.

Applications Engineer

Role Overview

As an Applications Engineer you will be pivotal in bringing together state of the art sub-systems (computer, vision, audio, motion, and driver) used in our world class Driver-in-the-Loop simulators.  You will also be integral to the assembly, commissioning, testing, and servicing of the systems on-site.

What will you be doing?

  • Work on cutting-edge computer and graphical systems on world leading, award-winning, automotive simulators.
  • Implement multi-projector, simulation-grade vision systems, professional-quality audio systems, high end IT systems including PC components and networking equipment.
  • Quality-check and approve simulators before release to customer.
  • Assist with customer support for after-sales.
  • This role has the possibility of travel to international customer installations to commission and service our systems.

What are we looking for?

  • Knowledge of high end PC systems down to component level.
  • Experience of software and firmware configuration.
  • Ability to work with complex systems to high standards in a methodical and repeatable manner.
  • Communicate clearly and concisely.
  • Be a fast and critical thinker, motivated by finding solutions to problems.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.

Software Development Team Lead

Role Overview

As the Software Development Team Lead you will be managing the development team who create the bespoke software used in our world class driver-in-the-loop simulators.

What will you be doing?

  • Leading a dynamic and talented group of developers who work on cutting-edge software solutions on world leading, award-winning, automotive simulators.
  • Communicate with stakeholders and understand and specify system interfaces, including to hardware and software components.
  • Directing on the use of modern software programming and integration methods to deliver the best solutions to our customers.
  • This role has the possibility of travel to international customer installations to commission and service our systems.

  • A strong leader, with experience in coordinating teams and being able to communicate clearly.
  • Proven ability to work with systems composed of hardware and software sub-units.

Software Integration Engineer

Role Overview

As a Software Integration Engineer you will be a vital link in bridging cutting-edge third-party software and systems to our world class driver-in-the-loop simulators ensuring they operate cohesively.  

What will you be doing?

  • Maintaining the company philosophy of being able to modularly connect to any product based on our customers' requirements.
  • Defining how systems interact in our customer projects. Each one is bespoke, and uses the latest technology.
  • Tailoring connections between a number of software and hardware components used in an automotive context.
  • This role has the possibility of travel to international customer installations to help maintain our systems.

What are we looking for?

  • Experience in a procurement position for a minimum of
  • Capable of understanding the software requirements of real time systems, such as Concurrent, National Instruments, dSPACE, and being able to integrate them in an efficient manner.
  • Ability to work with complex systems, for example HIL or simulation software, to high standards in a methodical and repeatable manner.
  • Experience in using MATLAB/Simulink for systems integration.
  • A fast and critical thinker, motivated by finding solutions to problems.
  • Excellent attention to detail.
